Soldier Hollow Enrollment Application
Soldier Hollow Charter School is now accepting Intent to Enroll applications for the 2011-12 school year:
- We offer full-day kindergarten through grade 8 classes.
- Our first Lottery will run through February. Notifications will be mailed out March.
- Please understand that completing this enrollment form does not register your child for Soldier Hollow Charter School. It indicates your intention to register if your child is accepted.

Enrollment preference will be granted to:
- Children currently attending SHCS
- Siblings of students currently enrolled at SHCS
- Additional openings will be filled through a lottery
In the event that SHCS receives more enrollment forms than it has capacity for each grade level, the school will run a lottery. Admission policies will be administered in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. The lottery will begin with eighth grade applicants. It will then proceed down through Kindergarten, giving preference to the first drawn names and then to the siblings of the first drawn. The lottery will also determine the priority list position for all other applicants at specified grade levels.
Enrollment forms received after a scheduled lottery drawing will be considered if there is an opening or placed on a wait list.
Our family is moving to the area the first of August, and I was wondering if you had any open spots available for the 1st grade, or if it is too late to try to get our daughter registered.

I have twins that will be entering into kindergarten next fall (2012), and I would like to know what is required in an effort to register them for your school. I am a resident of Midway, so if I need to come down for more information please advise.

I would encourage a tour of our school. While there, you may stop by the office and pick up an intent to enroll application for 2012-2013. Our enrollment is filled by a lottery system which is usually held in February/March.
My son, Kaleb, will be new to the first grade classroom beginning the week of December 5, 2011. We are making a huge move from across the country (Virginia) and he is feeling very nervous about it all. Is it possible to get an email address for Mrs. Heimburger so that I may communicate with her before Kaleb begins school? I believe it would really help the transition for him. Thanks!
