SHCS May 5th News

Art Festival, Tuesday, June 8th, SHCS: If you are interested in helping with this fun event, please come to a planning meeting at the school on Tuesday, May 11th, at 8:30 am.  If you cannot attend the meeting, but you would like to help, please contact Tricia Livingstone [email protected] or Stephanie Roberts [email protected] for volunteer opportunities.

PTO Committee: Soldier Hollow is looking for parents to be a part of the PTO Committee for the 2010/2011 school year.  If you are interested in helping out with any aspect of the PTO, such as — overseeing one of our big events like the Fall Gala — helping out with activities like the Olympics — doing behind the scenes work with any of the events — or just giving valuable parent input — please contact Joan at the office, or talk to Tricia Livingstone or Stephanie Roberts.

Rewards Program: Congratulations to Ms. Drozd’s class for winning the Tyson/Home Team Rewards contest.  Her students all received a coupon for a free slurpee from 7-11.  I appreciate all of the students and families who participated in this.

Today we begin our new contest for Campbell’s labels!  Every student in the class that brings the most labels in by May 28th will get to choose a prize from the treasure chest.  Send in the labels (with the barcode) from all Campbell’s and Pepperidge Farm products — make sure your child’s name is on them.  Please send in the lids on all V-8 juices.  Also, remind your child to put the label in the collection box if they bring a participating item in their lunch.  Thank you for supporting our school.
