PTO and Board Nominees, Art Festival, Field day…

Soldier Hollow Art Festival and Field Day, Tuesday, June 8th, 8:30-12:00: If you are interested in helping with this fun event, please contact Tricia Livingstone [email protected] or Stephanie Roberts [email protected] for volunteer opportunities.
We are also looking for parents to donate the following art supplies for this event by Friday, May 28th:
  • terra cotta pots, yarn, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, empty water bottles with lids (small), hat decorations (feathers, ribbon, flowers, etc), paint, brushes, recycled garden art or other art supplies
PTO Committee Elections, Tuesday, June 8th, at SHCS: Soldier Hollow is looking for parents to be a part of the PTO Committee for the 2010/2011 school year.  If you are interested in helping out with any aspect of the PTO, such as — overseeing one of our big events like the Fall Gala — helping out with activities like the Olympics — doing behind the scenes work with any of the events — or just giving valuable parent input — please contact Joan at the office, or talk to Tricia Livingstone or Stephanie Roberts.
Board Elections, Tuesday, June 8th, at SHCS: We have three Board openings (two due to 2 year term ending and one vacancy). If you are interested in running for the SHCS Board, please email or drop-off a brief statement about why you want to be on the school board, resume and a picture to either Claudia Heusch at [email protected] or Joan in the school office. We will be holding elections on the last day of school.
Rewards Program: Please keep sending in your Campbell’s labels for the contest we are having.  Every student in the class that brings the most labels in by May 28th will get to choose a prize from the treasure chest.  Send in the labels (with the barcode) from all Campbell’s and Pepperidge Farm products — make sure your child’s name is on them.  Please send in the lids on all V-8 juices.  Also, remind your child to put the label in the collection box if they bring a participating item in their lunch.  Each label counts as one point regardless of its value.
