Sept. 3rd News

Parking:  Thank you to all of the parents for your help with parking this week.  Please remember that on Friday drop-off and pick-up will be up at the lodge.

Monday, Sept 7th: No School. Enjoy the Labor Day holiday.

Sheepdog Trials: The Sheepdog Classic is once again coming to Soldier Hollow on Labor Day weekend.  We have been given the opportunity this year to raise money for our school at this event.  We will be operating the Coca-Cola© trailer. We need volunteers to help sell beverages: From Friday, Sept 4th, – Monday, Sept 7th.   We need help from 10:45 – 6:15 on each day.  If you are able to help any of these days for a two-hour shift (or more) please contact T. McClellan at [email protected]  or 435-654-4755.

Be sure to go see the Sheepdog Championship this weekend if you get the chance.  It is amazing to watch these animals in action.

Swiss Days Parade: Thank you for a great summer of community outreach.  Thank you to all of you who helped in the Farmers Market Booth, the Float decorating and the Heber parade.
We have one more parade and we NEED parents and kids to walk/ride with the SHCS float. Remember to dress like what you want to be in the future or as one of your favorite characters from history.

When: Saturday Sept. 5th.

Where: Main Street, Midway. Lineup is at 9:15. Our meeting spot will be between 300 East & River Road. Please park at the Church or Midway Elementary and walk to our float location. We are #65.  If you plan on riding your bike, scooter, boards, or anything else, you need to wear your helmet.  Remember to wear sunscreen.

Note: Parents if you are just dropping off your child to ride in the parade you will need to let Megan Reed  know which pick up spot you will pick your child up from after our float has finished passing through the parade route.  Our two pick up spots will be on the North East corner of  Town Square (by the city buildings) and 100 north and 200 East.  Please be there ASAP.
If any of you can help supervise at the pickup spots until the parents pick up, please let me know.
This is a great way to pick up some of your volunteer hours!
Thanks again to all of you who have put in time & your talents to make this a successful program. Have a great school year. — Megan Reed: 435-671-3577 or [email protected]
